In my early twenties, I watched my friends find careers they loved while I struggled to figure out what I wanted. I’d done all the “right” things—gone to college, earned good grades, worked hard—but still felt lost. I wondered if something was wrong with me or if it was too much to ask to actually enjoy my work. The constant second-guessing was exhausting.

I had the opportunity to work with a life coach through AmeriCorps, and those 10 sessions were transformative. My coach helped me see that not knowing what I wanted professionally was an opportunity to better understand myself. She met me without judgment and helped me find my way forward. That experience showed me how powerful coaching can be, and I knew I wanted to someday help others navigate uncertainty, reconnect with themselves, and find a path that feels right for them.
